Kielmeyers 1582 in Esslingen am Neckar

An experience that is second to none. A nice restaurant in the heart of Esslingen. Super friendly service and the food is delicious and served with love. I find the one dark-haired waiter with a pigtail very personable and very helpful. Vegetarian at a super high level!

I'm on remote assembly in Esslingen. So far Kielmayers 1582 is the best we have found in Esslingen. Of course there are still a few good places where you can eat well, but here everything has a certain something. The location is of course great. Ambience, cleanliness, toaleten .. everything was perfect and very tastefully decorated. Operation and service in my opinion top. The menu is updated at regular intervals. At first I was skeptical about the selection of dishes on offer as the menu is kept very small. 3 starters 3 main courses 3 desserts. The more the taste convinced me. Going out is fun. From with 5 stars with +++

Very tasty food and very attentive, friendly staff. Since the menu changes regularly, you can plan your visit flexibly to suit everyone's taste. Point deduction for the ambience, because in my opinion more could be made of it or the historical flair could be worked out more. It currently looks modern, but with a slight canteen flair.

Actually very nice and cozy, but the choice of desserts leaves a lot to be desired. Just a dessert with alcohol (whiskey) is unfortunately not appropriate. Still a good address. Maybe they'll change that.

€ 14 for a small vegetarian burger without any side dish is not a reasonable price-performance ratio, nor is a relatively small vegan bowl for € 20. Sorry, but next one.

Visited September 2020, great location, interior is appealing. Service was very good, a small (but fine) menu that doesn't look boring and the dishes were delicious ... Prices are a bit high, but on the level of quality ...

Another one of Esslingen’s gems. I went here with my wife on our anniversary and it didn’t disappoint. The staff was lovely, the setting is gorgeous, and that burger <3 We’ll be back!

We were eating with friends in 1582. It was delicious! The kitchen came out with the new menu that day. The mini kitchen brigade always comes around the corner with exciting cross-over ideas. The service is relaxed, friendly and attentive. Anytime again👍💪

The burgers, ramen, and Thai dishes have always been a treat and the octopus is among the best I've ever had (including many meals in Hawaii and three years living in Southern Italy!). They're among my favorite places in Esslingen -- and definitely my favorite delivery service during the COVID-19 scare! Delivery is prompt, hot, and delivered with proper precautions for the circumstances.

Great experience with delivery service during Corona, but also with a visit to the restaurant in front. Dishes prepared with great attention to detail, nice service and always something special. In summer 2019 we rented the large room to celebrate our wedding. From a preliminary meeting to a menu and service, an all-round successful celebration.

We have eaten several times at Kielmeyers 1582 or ordered while Corona there. It was always delicious. Partly reinterpreted dishes that are prepared very tasty and visually great. The restaurant is also beautifully designed and the staff extremely friendly and attentive.

Modern dishes in the old walls from 1582 delight the guest. Soups are particularly recommended here. The open kitchen shows that the cook has no secrets.

We were at Kielmeyers 1852 for a birthday. Everything was fine: location, preliminary discussion, recommendations, atmosphere, service and kitchen. The rooms on the first floor are perfect for events, we and our guests felt very comfortable. Many thanks.

A gain for the Esslingen gastronomy! In small group we were spoiled by the courteous staff and the kitchen. A small selected menu has taken us from the starter over the main course to the crowning Swabian Tiramisu. The kitchen gave us extensive qualified information about the composition of the sauce and the wine recommendation of the service was optimally matched to the food. We'll be back, maybe even on the ground floor in the Separé for our next corporate party .... really nice up there. This time we sat on the terrace, where you can absorb the Esslingen downtown feeling wonderful. See you soon in 1582!

Outstanding! You enter the store and feel at home immediately. In 1582 you can expect a very courteous service, a cozy atmosphere and above all delicious food. The dishes are very creative; Regional and fancy ingredients are combined and reinvented in an extraordinary way. That was certainly not our last visit here :)
